Monica Slate, MBA-OD
Monica Slate is an organizational development consultant, strategic operations leader, and community advocate with more than 25 years of experience helping organizations translate vision into action. Throughout her career, she has led strategic initiatives, operational improvements, governance efforts, stakeholder engagement programs, and organizational planning initiatives within complex mission-driven environments.
As Founder and Principal Advisor of Solace Beacon LLC, Monica partners with nonprofits, healthcare organizations, community-based organizations, and growing businesses to strengthen organizational effectiveness through strategic planning, operational alignment, leadership development, governance structures, and sustainable growth strategies.
A dedicated community leader, Monica serves in numerous volunteer and governance roles throughout Frederick County, including the Frederick County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Leadership Frederick County Council, Key City Rotary, Women’s Giving Circle, SHIP Fund Development Committee, Frederick Health Good Samaritan and Special Gifts Committees, and the Love for Lochlin Executive Board. She also serves as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) through the Mental Health Association of Frederick County, advocating for children involved in the foster care system.
Throughout her professional and volunteer leadership roles, Monica has developed a reputation for bringing diverse perspectives together, facilitating meaningful dialogue, and helping organizations and communities navigate complex challenges. She is passionate about fostering collaboration, strengthening community connections, and creating opportunities for conversations that lead to understanding, engagement, and lasting positive change.
